New York jazz musician Joe Farnsworth is regarded as one of the top jazz drummers in the world, but as far as he is concerned, he is just getting started. He is dedicated to the great tradition of jazz drumming conceived by artists like Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Billy Higgins and Arthur Taylor. Farnsworth is one of the most respected drummers on the New York jazz scene, appearing on more than 70 albums and sharing the stage with musicians such as, Wynton Marsalis, Cedar Walton, McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders and Diana Krall.

Farnsworth has assembled the cream of Australian jazz for his east coast tour with iconic tenor saxophonist and the only Australian to ever be a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Dale Barlow along with National Jazz Award winning bassist and Canberra School of Music alumni Brendan Clarke. Completing the line-up is Chicago born and now Sydney resident pianist John Harkins. This performance promises to be world class modern jazz at the highest level.
