Meet the Makers: Emma Gibson

“Take charge of my life. I am close to breaking” - Randolph Stow (Tourmaline)

Join The Street’s Artistic Director Caroline Stacey in conversation with acclaimed Canberra-based playwright Emma Gibson who has adapted Randolph Stow’s richly poetic novel Tourmaline. They will cover the  challenges of adaptation  and of adapting this 1963 Australian classic to a work for the stage, as well as the importance of place given the visceral Australian atmosphere, the characters, the themes and the language of Stow.
