MUSIC THEATRE START UP – THE ART OF PROCESS
Join us for a public showing from the participants of this week’s Music Theatre Start Up Master It intensive as they share their discoveries and perform the latest new music theatre from around the globe including a brand new ensemble song from rising star Melbourne-based music theatre performer and composer Vidya Makan.
Composer/educator/music director David Sisco (USA) leads proceeding with Wild Voices Music Theatre artistic director Dianna Nixon in the accompanist’s seat. Music by Vidya Makan featured.
Artists featured include David Pearson, Indigo Trail, Michael Heming, Fionn Stagg, Sara Rogers, Emily O’Brien, Sophia Marzano, Angela Ford, and Vidya Makan.
MUSIC THEATRE START UP brings new music theatre writing from around the globe writing into focus now. We’re concerned with music theatre practice and artform development from experimental projects to productions in theatres where music is a crucial aspect in the performance.
