Your support helps us realise the full potential of our vision as the leading producer of contemporary theatre and performance in the region.

Street Supporters is our individual giving program that allows you to make a fully tax-deductible donation to The Street.

When you donate to The Street, you support:

  • new Australian stories for the stage;
  • the production of high quality theatre works made in Canberra;
  • an annual program of contemporary live performance, music, comedy and more;
  • keeping theatre artists employed and creating;
  • new career opportunities and pathways for Canberra's inspiring artists and artsworkers;
  • greater connection and belonging in our city and region;
  • giving voice to the concerns of our communities.

Donations over the last three years have supported award-winning professional productions of the powerful Breaking The Castle by Peter Cook;narrative jazz song cycle Flight Memory by Sandra France and Alana Valentine; A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath; gritty, song-filled chronicle The Weight of Light by Nigel Featherstone and James Humberstone; Diary of a Madman by David Holman, featuring PJ Williams who went on to win a Canberra Critics Award for his role as Poprishchin; modern thriller Venus in Fur by David Ives; and the Alana Valentine adaptation of the Frank Moorhouse novel Cold Light as well as artistic programs including The Hive, First Seen, Master It and our Pre-Professional Program.

At the end of the 2020 financial year, we put a call out for donations to support The Street Ahead to create new work for our future seasons from this extraordinary time. These works will give voice to who we are and inform ways of living together through the performing arts as we recover and rebuild our society.

As a donor you will receive official acknowledgement on our website, programs, and other platforms.
