Returning to the scene of the crime, Canberra post-punk outfit Agency launch their debut album The Stillness Of Speed on Saturday 5 December in Street Three, the room in which they recording this raw and urgent LP live in four days. Featuring current and ex-members of Hoodlum Shouts, Spartak and A Drone Coda, Agency are in some ways an ACT super group, and in others one of the more original acts to emerge from the nation's capital.

Performing this launch as an expanded five piece with Evan Dorrian (Spartak, Tangents) on keyboard and percussion, Agency mesh their grinding angular guitars, sludge smeared bass lines and haywire vocals with piano and field recordings to recall a sound reminiscent of the pulverising noise made by greats like Unwound, Mission of Burma and Mogwai, but also a uniquely chaotic energy that's all their own.

In true DIY spirit, Agency have selected a diverse range of groups to join them for this launch:

The Stillness Of Speed will be released on hellosQuare recordings and is now available for pre-order at Bandcamp. It will also be available on 12" vinyl LP in independent record stores around Australia from November 6.
