Love Notes From Ibero-America
A Classical journey across Latin Lands
Lovenotes from Ibero-America is a luminous celebration of Latin American and Iberian musical heritage, bringing together three exceptional artists for one unforgettable night. Peruvian guitarists Giovanni Riveros and Eduardo Ruiz, joined by Colombian soprano Paola Monroy, will take audiences on a poetic journey across continents through the rich colours, rhythms, and emotions of Ibero-American classical music.
The program showcases iconic repertoire from Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru, creating a tapestry of musical traditions united by expressive storytelling and deep cultural roots. Audiences will experience the haunting nostalgia of Piazzolla’s Oblivion, the rhythmic brilliance of Villa-Lobos’ Choro No. 1, the virtuosity of Tárrega’s Capricho Árabe, and the spiritual intimacy of Barrios’ Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios.
The concert also highlights the beauty of Latin American song through voice and guitar. Paola Monroy’s warm and expressive soprano brings new life to beloved works such as Alfonsina y el Mar, La Llorona, and Colombian bambucos, as well as timeless Peruvian classics including Fina Estampa, Todos Vuelven, and the iconic La Flor de la Canela.
This event is more than a recital—it is a cultural bridge, inviting audiences into the soul of Ibero-America through its melodies, poetry, and romantic spirit.
Presented at The Street Theatre on Friday, 13 February 2026, the concert promises an evening of elegance, passion, and artistic excellence.
