We have a range of opportunities for artists to create, work, partner, learn and share with The Street Theatre. Keep a regular eye on this space.

2026 General Auditions
Mon 23 - Wed 25 March From 1pm to 5:30pm

General auditions are an introduction to our Artistic Director, Caroline Stacey and a chance for us to meet adult actors based in Canberra and the surrounding regions who are passionate about new work and old work made in new ways.

Eligibility:

• Studied drama/acting
• Demonstrated stage experience
• At least 20 years of age
• Artist must primarily work and live in Canberra and surrounding regions

Preparation required:

We will ask to see 2 contrasting pieces (2-4 minutes) of your choosing.

Auditions are half an hour each.

Send in an up to date Headshot and acting CV and let us know a preference of timing within 1pm to 5:30pm on Mon 23, Tues 24, Wed 25 March.

Update

If we have seen you in an audition in the last two years, you do not need to re-apply. However, we invite you to come in for a chat to give us an update on your work to date.

We are currently refreshing our creative database and need updated headshots and CV’s.  Please send us a recent headshot (within the last 18 months would be ideal) and current CV.
