One Night Only: Impro ACT 2019 Showcase

All in one night, and only one night, see one improvised play in constantly changing genres, plus one spontaneous performance devoted to the nature of play, plus one old-fashioned theatre-games-based impro show.

1. “In The Syle Of” – a short play that shifts genre from Western to Horror to Romance to Noir, and finally mixing them all together.
2. “Just Play” – a short play entirely devoted to the art of playfulness, itself.
3. “Prepare To Be Unprepared” – a theatre games lolly jar of laughter.

Directed by globetrotting international improviser, and Head Tutor of Impro ACT, Nick Byrne, graduating students from Canberra’s school of theatrical improvisation are joined by some of this city’s most experienced spontaneous performers in a range of acts that can only be for ‘One Night Only’.
