The shutdown of The Street with the City West precinct, reduced to an urban desert during the COVID pandemic, was devastating. The emptiness, devoid of people, expressed our loss and state of crisis.

We offer Rehearsal Observation placements to Canberra-based emerging theatre-makers (directors, actors, designers) and musicians as part of our 2025 program.

Mike Jackson - DAMS

In late 2016, The Street partnered with local design and brand studio DAMS, on a long-term project to revitalise The Street brand. Now going on more than four years, that continued partnership has touched on most aspects of The Street experience, from core visual identity elements to theatre marketing, campaigns and site activation. Proudly for 2021, DAMS has delivered a refreshed look and feel for The Street website.
