Canberra Tango Quintet

Echoes Of Piazzolla

Canberra Tango Quintet presents 'Echoes of Piazzolla: The Experience' - an immersive audio-visual experience of the legendary musician's life, at the home of live storytelling in Canberra, The Street Theatre.

'Echoes of Piazzolla: The Experience' redefines live performance by combining an exquisite program of Astor Piazzolla's repertoire with archival footage of his life, tracing his journey to becoming one of the most renowned musicians and composers in history. From Piazzolla's childhood in New York, to marking his mark in Buenos Aires and Paris, this special concert showcases a unique experience in storytelling that converges place and time, taking the audience on a transformational journey from the edge of their seat.

Experience Piazzolla’s music in his trademark ensemble that revolutionised tango and classical music. A perfect balance of instrumentation accompanied by authentic artistic interpretation, witness Canberra Tango Quintet perform on the very instruments for which Piazzolla's music was written: bandoneón, violin, electric guitar, piano, and double bass.

Canberra Tango Quintet is an Australian-Argentinian-Uruguayan ensemble featuring musicians Rodolfo Pablo Caivano (bandoneón), Eloise Reddy (violin), Matthew Lustri (electric guitar), John Yoon (piano), and Elizabeth Charlton (double bass).
