Canberra Wind Symphony: Stars and Stripes

For the second program of the 2019 ‘Art Music on Stage’ Concert Series,

join the stunning Canberra Wind Symphony for an afternoon of all things red, white and blue as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Geoff Grey delivers an Independence Day program showcasing the brilliance of iconic American composers.

Adding to the excellence will be the Brindabella Chorus (2018’s International Harmony Chorus Champion), and the National Champion Vocal Quartet, Debacle, bringing their unique sounds and sparkle to some of the great U.S.A. classics.

Featuring a broad mix of old and new, this celebration includes works from Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Karel Husa, Charles Ives, Mark Camphouse, Brant Karrick and, of course, John Philip Sousa.

We’d like y’all to join in the fun by wearing red, white and blue or some stars and stripes, and throw in some good, old-fashioned CWS frivolity and this is sure to be a recipe to rival Grandma’s classic Apple Pie!

Be quick to secure your tickets for this one-off event.

Come, relax and enjoy a fantastic variety of music. Canberra Wind Symphony are superb in every way. Entertaining and uplifting. A great afternoon or night out to share with friends.
