'EPIC' + 'Austen & Such'

“Inspired By" Double Bill
‘EPIC’ Directed by Nick Byrne (Australia) + ‘Austen & Such’ Directed by Charlotte Gittins (United Kingdom)

A blockbuster night of spontaneous theatre inspired by genres of performance.

Firstly ‘EPIC’, a performance inspired by Homer and Classical Greek theatre, a large cast will perform as Chorus, Muse, and Actors, in a flowing form that is boldly physical, verbally poetic, and thematically EPIC. Featuring serious percussion accompaniment by The Gary France.

And after interval….

An audience favourite, for sure, ‘Austen & Such’, is surely inspired by Jane Austen, with maybe a little Downton Abbey and Poldark on the side. We’ll see. What we do know, is that international guest director, Charlotte Gittins, is a part of what is widely regarded as the world’s premier improvised Austen company; UK’s ‘Austentatious’, and that means the most heartwarmingly polite performance you’ll see, this year…… period.

Part of Improvention 2017; an international festival of unscripted theatre arts, with performers and directors from Sweden, France, Argentina, Slovenia, Japan, Finland, United Kingdom & Australia
