In this fascinating concert Legendary Australian Flautist Jane Rutter plays 10 solo Gold, Silver, Bamboo Classical & Ethnic Flutes & Whistles.
Acclaimed world-wide for her mastery of the Flute, with several No#1 albums and ARIA nominations, Jane Rutter was awarded the prestigious French medal Chevalier des Arts et Lettres in 2016. She is a classical free spirit who has devoted her life to French flute playing in which the flute is perceived as a 'voice'. Flute Spirits & The Seasons takes you on an international journey with Spring, The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, Indian Ragas, Irish melodies, and works by Debussy, Devienne, Vaughan- Williams, Irving Berlin, Sarah Hopkins, Jane Rutter and Ross Edwards: Flute pieces mystically connect the Australian Dreamtime, European Classical music and the universal appeal of the flute.
The performance is enhanced with accompaniment by didgeridoo, electronic loops, flute samples and linking prose by Rumi, Patrick White and Anaïs Nin. .
