Segue 2016: DELVE DEEPER The Big Flight
DELVE DEEPER: THE BIG FLIGHT
creative and cultural responses to migration and the refugee crisis in Australia and Europe
Join Radio National Big Ideas host Paul Barclay as he examines creative and cultural responses to migration and the refugee crisis in Australia and Europe with leading Australian artists and cultural commentators. In the spotlight we have playwright Tom Davis, film-maker Lisa Horler, historian Klaus Neumann, director-creative producer Jiva Parthipan, and cross-disciplinary performance-maker Zsuzsi Soboslay as they look to illuminate the what, where, why, and for whom artistic work is being made together with an examination of the limits and consequences of making such work. The panel will discuss their experiences and observations in both European and Australian contexts with plenty of time for questions and discussion with audience members.
