Tom Fell Quartet

Canberra-based saxophonist Tom Fell presents the launch of his debut album Mantra, featuring six original compositions performed by a quartet of leading Australian improvisers.

Recorded in October 2025 at the ANU School of Music (and supported by ArtsACT), Mantra brings together pianist Steve Barry (SYD), bassist Christopher Pound (CBR) and drummer Nicholas McBride (CBR). The music sits between blues-inflected modern jazz and more contemplative, open forms.

This concert marks the first live presentation of the album as a complete work. The quartet will perform music from Mantra in a single set, offering a focused and immersive listening experience.
