Newex Collective presents its debut work, a synthesis of our responses to life, love, and art. If all actual life is encounter, then our relationships with the people in our life create us.

Us explores the details of four relationships in mixed-medium styles incorporating original music and lyrics, movement, live and pre-recorded media content and theatrical performance.

Bringing together a group of new multi-skilled youth artists and performers, Newex Collective is excited to bring a new wave of devised, responsive performance to the Canberra Arts scene.

About the Collective

Newex Collective aims to give young people an opportunity to create and perform ensemble-devised theatre. Performances will present contemporary issues relevant to the whole group.

Development of productions will see young actors working with more experienced practitioners within the industry. The links between the young performers and professional theatre practitioners will provide experience based training and learning as well as networking opportunities for all involved.
