Welcome to Dystopia / Mask Life

“Welcome to Dystopia” by Chao Huai Yu (Taipei) & “Mask Life” by Jonathan Briden (Christchurch)

A double bill of spontaneous international theatre that ponders questions of how different people from different worlds can co-exist.

From outstanding Taiwanese improvisation company, “Guts Improv”, Chao Huai Yu and cast take us on a journey through the duality of our Utopian to Dystopian societies, with tales and characters of dysfunction.

Continuing the theme of our two faces, human characters and mask characters come face-to-face, as New Zealand’s Jonathan Briden and cast explore mask life

Part of Canberra International Improv Festival 2018; an international festival of unscripted theatre arts, with performers and directors from France, Taiwan, Poland, Japan, Germany, Estonia, USA, Philippines, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Singapore, Greece, Sweden, United Kingdom, Austria, & Australia.
