The Extraordinary Journey Of An Ordinary Transgender Woman
Direct from a successful season at the Sydney Fringe Festival
Join Katherine as she journeys through the trials and triumphs of her extraordinary experience living as an ordinary transgender woman over the last three decades.
In April of 1990 Katherine made the decision to live as a woman; so she ran away from home thus starting her journey of over three decades living her authentic self.
Alongside images of memories past and guided by a narrative seen through her own lens with delightful humour, irreverent honesty and an unapologetic belief in herself, Katherine invites you to share her journey in her hour-long performance with a Q&A session post show.
Inspiring, educational and entertaining Katherine promises you will come away from the experience both a little wiser and enriched through her unique style of storytelling about herself - an ordinary transgender woman who has been on an extraordinary journey.
“I set out to blaze a trail, driven by my purpose to create change that would benefit not only myself, but also those who bravely came after me,” Katherine shared.
“From Fiji to Daylesford, from squatting in houses to sitting on boards, from changing laws in Fiji to journalism in Australia, I hope the story and stats of my three-decade journey leaves your mind a little wiser and your heart a little bigger.”
