The Music & Lyrics of Tracy Chapman
Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter Andrea Kirwin's love of Tracy's music has led to her putting together a 2 hour concert with her band performing and celebrating the music and lyrics of her favourite artist of all time.
Tracy Chapman is one of the music industry's greatest singer-songwriter success stories, capturing a global audience in 1988 with her self-titled debut album with just her voice and guitar. Her debut album later went on to win 2 x Grammy awards for Album of the year and Best contemporary folk Album. Tracy's music has stood the test of time with 'Fast Car' and 'Give Me One Reason' being two songs which have made their way into many singer-songwriters setlists over the years.
Andrea and Band will play songs from each of Tracy's 8 albums including favourites such as 'Fast Car', 'Give Me One Reason', 'Talking Bout A Revolution', 'The Promise' and more with additional songs including some of Tracy's collaborations such as 'The Thrill Is Gone', which she performed with B.B King, 'Sweet Home Chicago' with Bonnie Raitt and 'Ain't No Sunshine' with Buddy Guy.
