One of the country's finest and enduring song men, Neil Murray, a founding member of the Warumpi Band and the man behind such classics as My Island Home, Blackfella Whitefella and Good Light in Broome, will perform a intimate solo show at The Street this September with the release of his new single Whispering Casuarina and continue his Bring Thunder and Rain tour, the album of which received a 4 out of 5 stars in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.
An APRA song of the year recipient for My Island Home in 1995, Neil Murray has enjoyed a three decade plus career. His songs have been recorded by Mary Black, Missy Higgins, Jimmy Little, Christine Anu, Peter Denahy, Amy Saunders, Powderfinger, Tiddas, Ursula Yovich and Peter Brandy. This concert promises to be an engaging and fascinating evening with one of the country's most influential songwriters.
